A Nightmare on Commonhall St

Commonhall needed an advert for their Halloween goings on. So we went all out and made a two minute horror film. With a small crew we worked closely with the venue shooting after hours and even recruiting staff members onto the team such as Leigh who whilst not acting became the wardrobe tech.

The style plays on familiar horror constructs starting off with a reassuring normality in the form of Stew’s Beer Vlog – As part of the campaign we’d actually had the venue announce upcoming beer reviews in order to set up the audience for a surprise. We then moved into the found/recovered footage genre using self filmed and security camera style before concluding with some classic horror monster lurk.

Soundtrack: Dripping in synth John Carpenter style. We had a lot of fun producing it in the studio.
